A few months ago, I was unable to sleep, and I started reading articles on Medium. Everything was going on fine until I came across the one written by P.S. on American’s most haunted city — ‘New Orleans’.

This was the last article that I read and tried to sleep again. In five minutes sleep attacked me like a hungry beer, and I didn’t wake up even once in between, and that’s hardly the case with me. I usually wake up twice or thrice before my final alarm in the morning.

At 5 am, I heard the loud cry of a baby in my bedroom. I was still not completely awake, so I thought it was my alarm. The voice didn’t stop, and I tried putting my hands on my ears for it to stop. It became louder with time. I heard huge drums beats as if some kind of procession was going on…
